In this new Internet ready world, VoIP phones are fast becoming the norm. They work just as good or better than the old land line phones and most of them you can take with you and use wherever there is an Internet connection or Wi-Fi hotspot - try that with a land line. The VoIP calling plan rates are so much cheaper than cell phones or land line phones that it makes absolutely no sense to pay an old tied down circuit switching phone plan. No they do not have the versatility of a cell phone yet but....
